ST701 |
General Description |
Despite
the number, this was the first 35mm SLR from Fujica. Stop-down aperture
TTL metering, mechanical shutter. Early cameras have no hotshoe, just pc
sockets for electronic flash and FP bulbs, though an accessory shoe was
available that fitted on top of the pentaprism housing. These early
cameras had raised lettering and were available in chrome
or black. Later cameras
have a hot-shoe fitted and other cosmetic changes like the later type
self timer arm. There were also available in chrome or black.
Unfortunately and unlike most of the Fujica SLRs, the 701 is designed to take mercury batteries which are no longer available. For a discussion on solutions to this problem, click here. |
